What is CertDuty?
CertDuty is class management software for CCW, guard card and firearms instructors. It handles class scheduling, online registration, payments, roll call, offline range scoring and numbered, verifiable certificates in one place. It was built by Nick Scott, a firearms instructor in Santa Rosa, California, and costs $45 a month, billed monthly.

CertDuty is for firearms and security training instructors who run CCW, guard card and firearms permit classes, from solo instructors to small training schools. Yes. CertDuty runs as an iPhone app and in any web browser, so you can set up classes at your desk and run roll call on the range.
Are the certificates BSIS-ready?
Guard card and firearms certificates carry the course, hours, score, instructor details and a unique certificate number, with a public link anyone can use to verify them.
What if there’s no signal at the range?
Range Mode keeps working offline. Check-ins and scores queue on your phone and sync as soon as you’re back in range.
How do students sign in?
With a magic link sent to their email. There are no passwords for students to forget or for you to reset.
Can other instructors use my account?
